dirksen derby

Let’s rally the team and head to the Dirksen Derby!

This event would be a great opportunity for our members to get exposed to a different side of competitive snowboarding than we are used to through USSA and USASA offerings.

In order for us to put this together as a team trip, we will need a minimum of 6 RSVPs. Estimated total cost of the trip will be tricky until we get our number of participants, but before doing the research a rough guess would be airfare plus $125/day/person for the 3 day trip. Once we have the number of people interested we can get to work on pricing out the trip.

The deadline to RSVP to this trip will be Friday, November23, 2012. On Saturday we will announce if we will make this a team trip this year.

Gettin’ the Shot at High Cascade Snowboard Camp’s Sunset Photoshoot

Every summer High Cascade Snowboard Camp runs a photography workshop where aspiring photogs get to practice their craft under some of snowboarding’s most established pro photographers. The workshop culminates at a sunset photo shoot, and this past summer some of our team riders got to be involved. The following are some of the shots taken by the up and comers.

Cross Training at Snogression

Snogression is a facility in Salt Lake City that is  designed for freestyle snow sport cross training. The facility has a  synthetic dry-slope jib run, a synthetic dry-slope jump run into a foam  pit, four trampolines adjacent to the foam pit, and a skateboard  mini-ramp. The whole place is a lot of fun and the jump into the foam  pit is especially useful to work on inverted tricks before bringing them to snow.

we will be doing the  basics class together as a team on Saturday, September 15th, at 6 pm

Contact jacob@teamutah.org, for any questions or to get involved.
