2013/2014 Program Description

At Team Utah Canyons, we believe that coaching is essential in the progression and safety of snowboarding. By incorporating each athlete into the process of goal setting, competition planning, fitness evaluations, and conditioning planning, we can set the stage for success. With professional coaches, athletes build strong foundations and skill sets through progression to maintain the highest level of safety possible.

Costs:

Team Utah Annual Membership Fee $150.

Annual membership gives members access to discounted pricing on equipment through our sponsors, as well as access to all of our team services: coaching, dry land cross training, filming, travel opportunities, and career counseling.

Group Coaching Programs, Fees and descriptions.

Saturdays 9-3 Nov 30 – March 23 pricing is $1,000.00 before Nov 15. $1,200.00 after Nov 15 (competition weeks excluded)

The Saturday program focuses on a wide variety of riding, from Slope Style to Boardercross. Focus will depend on weather and upcoming competitions.

 

Thursdays 9-3 Nov 30- March 23 pricing is $1,000.00 before Nov 15. $1,200.00 after Nov 15 (competition weeks excluded)

The Thursday program will be a specific BX focus, riding in conjunction with the Team Utah Boardercross Team riders who are not traveling. This program will allow riders to mingle and ride with high level BX racers to get a better feel for the world of BX racing.

 *Group programs require a minimum of 4 riders.

Competition Coaching:

Coaching fees for any Competition by Team Utah coaches will follow this formula.

- Coaching fees

- Coaches Travel

- Waxing fees

Divided by the amount of riders in attendance.

  • Training will cover all aspects of riding, including, but not only, freestyle, freeriding, alpine and boardercross.

  • Riders will compete in local and regional events in the Intermountain area. 

  • Riders will have the opportunity to qualify for bigger events like USASA Nationals, USSA Revolution Tour and USSA Grand Prix events.

  • Summer Camp opportunities will be available, cost and venues TBA

  • Dryland training will begin in the Fall

  • Average athlete to coach ratio is 5:1.
