Snowboard Coaching

PLEASE NOTE: SNOWBOARD COACHING IS DIFFERENT THAT SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTING, WE DO NOT OFFER SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTION.

Instruction is offered by our hosting partner resorts. Some of our programs require an on-hill assessment to determine if a rider is ready for our programs, 1 hour on hill assessments when required are offered at no cost.

In order to be eligible for any of our coaching programs you must be a current team member, and you must be already riding at a competitive level.

Team Utah Snowboarding, Inc. sets the standard in coaching within the snowboard industry. All coaches have established careers in snowboarding, all have passed background checks, and all are certified.

The on snow coaching programs we offer are wholistic in approach and follow the Long Term Athlete Development Model. We believe that the best competitors in any discipline are great all around riders, and that while competition is one aspect of snowboarding, it is not the be all end all. By this we mean that you can be successful in snowboarding in more ways than standing on the podium, but we do our fare share of that too.

The amount and kind of coaching you sign up for depends on your own personal Goal Set, that’s why we require you to make one, and update it each year. After you’ve created a goal set with the help of a Team Utah coach we can help you by making reccomendations on what programs to do.

Winter snowboard coaching programs run from Dec. 1 – Mar. 31 and include on snow coaching for both competitions and improving all around snowboard skills.

REMEMBER: WE DO NOT OVERLAP SERVICES WITH OUR HOSTING RESORTS, WE DO NOT OFFER LESSONS. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY OF OUR COACHING PROGRAMS YOU MUST BE A TEAM MEMBER AND YOU MUST BE ALREADY RIDING AT A COMPETITIVE LEVEL.

Coaching programs range from one to six days per week, and costs are assessed at an hourly coaching rate.

The coaching rates vary from chapter to chapter, discounts and scholarships are available. Check out the chapters tab on the homepage for the rates and program details offered by each chapter.
